Short version: ScreenPlayer has no account and no tracking. Your settings, lyrics and history stay on your PC. To find covers, lyrics and search results, the app asks a few public services about the song you play.
Who we are
ScreenPlayer is made by [your name or company, address, KvK number]. Questions about privacy: email us.
The app
What stays on your PC
Your settings, your own lyrics and timing fixes, automatic lyrics, the playlists you add and, if you connect it, your YouTube sign-in token (encrypted by Windows). ScreenPlayer does not send any of this to us. We don't collect usage statistics or crash reports.
What the app asks other services
To show what you're playing, ScreenPlayer sends the title and artist of the current song to:
- LRCLIB (lrclib.net), for synced lyrics.
- YouTube Music and Deezer, for covers, albums and search results.
- Wikipedia, for the short artist bio.
Songs and music videos you play inside ScreenPlayer use YouTube's embedded player, and YouTube's own privacy policy applies to them. These services see your IP address, like any website you visit.
Things you choose to turn on
- Sharing lyrics. If you fix the timing of a song and tick the box to share it, the lyrics go to LRCLIB without your name.
- Your YouTube Music account. If you connect it, you sign in with Google in your own browser and ScreenPlayer only reads your playlists. You can disconnect at any time.
- Automatic lyrics. The speech model is downloaded once from Hugging Face and jsDelivr. The listening happens on your own graphics card. Your audio never leaves your PC.
